Injection Moulding Setter
Location: St Leonards, East Sussex
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
A growing manufacturing business in St Leonards, East Sussex is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Setter to join their production team. This is a permanent, full-time role working 45 hours per week across day, evening, and night shifts (6am–3pm, 2pm–11pm, 10pm–7am).
This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with injection moulding machines, optimising processes, and delivering high-quality PVC products.
The Injection Moulding Setter Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will:
Operate injection moulding machines to meet production schedules.
Set up, optimise, and safely run tooling and processing equipment.
Monitor output, maintain records, and ensure products meet quality standards.
Troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with teams including Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping to ensure safety and compliance.
This role provides the opportunity to take ownership of your production processes and make a tangible impact on efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Operate injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
Complete machine set-ups, tool changes, and first-off approvals.
Maintain accurate production records, including settings, scrap causes, and changes.
Ensure output meets cost, quality, and timing targets.
Participate in problem-solving, process improvements, and quality checks.
Follow technical instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety regulations.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Setter in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of polymer materials, tooling, machine parameters, and processing behaviour.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications.
Knowledge of Lean Principles, process capability, and continuous improvement.
Confidence in troubleshooting and optimising injection moulding processes.
Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven manufacturing environment.
Resilient, reliable, and willing to learn complex tasks.
