Summary
ROLE: LCV / Van Technician
LOCATION: Preston
SALARY: 35k basic, OTE OF 44k + benefits
HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.00 – 5.30
We are seeking a qualified LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician to join our clients dealership in Preston.
Duties of the LCV Technician / Light Commercial Vehicle Technician / Van Technician role:
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with technical knowledge – irrelevant of brand, to work at pace
• A team-player who is comfortable operating with set processes and procedures
• A qualified Vehicle Technician with an industry recognised qualification, ideally level 3 but level 2 will be considered
• Ability to carry out MOT’s is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given
• Motivated, dedicated and organised with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace
• Be Tech savvy with confidence in using an iPad
• Must have experience as a commercial vehicle Technician
About you:
• The ability to carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles and brands
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, which may include some warranty approved work in line with our brands (subject to experience / training level)
• Be confident in MOT testing duties (if qualified)
• Completing work from job cards and electronic write ups through franchise platforms
• Electronic vehicle health checks (EVHC’s) and video health checks
• Guide and Support Apprentice Technicians as and when required
