Summary

PMLD Teaching Assistant - SEN School in Wakefield (WF7)
Location: Leeds
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑time, Term Time Only

NextGen Teachers are currently working in partnership with a SEN school based in Wakefield (WF7) who are seeking to recruit an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support PMLD students and starting as soon as possible. This is a large specialist provision supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and this role will focus on secondary‑aged learners with the most complex needs.

You will work alongside teachers and our multidisciplinary team to support learners in accessing personalised experiences, developing communication and engagement, and enhancing well‑being and independence in a nurturing and specialist environment.

Key Responsibilities

Has experience supporting children or young people with PMLD/complex SEN.
