About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a welland supportive specialist provision in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about transforming the lives of children with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, SpLD, and complex learning profiles.
The role is available for an immediate start; however, we also welcome applications from candidates seeking to begin in September.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of SEN learners.
Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes independence, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.
Develop and implement personalised learning plans, EHCP targets, and behaviour support strategies.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, external professionals, and parents/carers to support holistic pupil development.
Use creative, therapeutic, and multi-sensory approaches to help pupils re-engage with learning and achieve meaningful progress.
Contribute to the wider school community, supporting whole-school initiatives and maintaining strong safeguarding practices.


About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) essential.
Experience working with pupils with SEN or SEMH needs (mainstream or specialist settings).
Strong behaviour management skills using positive, traumaand relationshipapproaches.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
Passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every learner succeed.
