NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a Primary Classroom Assistant to support a welcoming primary school in the HX3 area of Halifax on a supply basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and gaining experience within a supportive primary school environment.

The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across the classroom, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities
- Assist pupils with their learning on a 1:1 basis and in small groups where required
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEN where necessary
- Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and general classroom support
- Encourage pupils' confidence, participation, and independence in learning

The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children in a school, childcare, or support setting
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
