KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School | Darlington Full-Time

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Darlington is seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference to children who require tailored support to thrive both academically and socially.

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: ASAP / September start considered
Salary: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

You will be working primarily within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional difficulties. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or within small intervention groups, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

The successful candidate will help pupils access the curriculum, develop confidence, and build independence within a supportive classroom environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting
