Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Aurora Ryefields School

Location: Derby (DE1 3HF)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Term Time Only (44.67 paid weeks)
Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 actual annual salary (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hourly Rate: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour

We are currently working in partnership with Aurora Ryefields School to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist team.

Aurora Ryefields is a welcoming and supportive provision for children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, enabling them to reach their full potential.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting students both in their learning and overall wellbeing. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider support team, you will help create a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

All pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is advertised as a temporary role, although there may be the opportunity for a permanent position in the future.
