The Opportunity:
We are seeking a candidate to provide academic leadership in the area of Large-Scale Database Systems, developing and implementing a vision for a world-leading sustainable portfolio of research, education and external engagement in this field. They will lead funding bids and secure significant funding and be a thought-leader for the School’s research activities, particularly to develop a strategy for spreading knowledge and insight of data base systems into other research areas within and out with the School. The post holder will also engage with strategic stakeholders such as funding councils and industry.
This post is part-time (7 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
