Summary
This role is suited to an experienced, confident and inspirational early years professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and education. The Deputy Manager will support staff in their roles across the setting while also taking responsibility for key administrative tasks such as invoicing, budget monitoring and managing the funding portal.
You will be expected to lead with a strong and positive leadership style, motivating and inspiring the staff team while supporting the overall running of the nursery.
Overall Purpose of the Role
To effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery.
To ensure the setting delivers a high standard of care and education in line with the nursery’s ethos, core values, policies and procedures.
To lead, support and develop the staff team.
To maintain a clean, safe and well-maintained environment that meets health and safety standards.
To ensure the curriculum is promoted and delivered effectively throughout the setting.
To contribute to the wider management team within the company.
Qualities and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (minimum).
Has at least 3 years post-qualification experience working in a nursery setting.
Has a strong understanding of all aspects of nursery operations.
Is confident using computerised systems.
Has previous management or supervisory experience (minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred).
Is flexible, enthusiastic and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
