About the Role

As an IT Recycling Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with customers and channel partners including resellers, MSPs, system integrators, and public/private sector organisations.

You’ll play a key part in driving revenue, increasing market share, and generating high‑quality IT recycling collections. From prospecting and qualifying leads to nurturing relationships and closing sales, you’ll take full ownership of the recycling sales pipeline.

This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial instincts, a strategic mindset, and a genuine passion for sustainable IT lifecycle solutions.

⭐ What You’ll Be Doing

Key Accountabilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Proactively generate new business opportunities from both the Private and Public Sector.
Achieve and exceed conversion, collection, and revenue targets.
Gather and maintain high‑quality customer and competitor intelligence.
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records within our CRM, including reporting.

Main Responsibilities

Identify and contact potential customers to promote Converge’s recycling services.
Gain appointments and set up high‑quality meetings for Partner Managers.
Manage new customer relationships and identify opportunities for wider product sales.
Qualify customer requirements and ensure operational teams are prepared for collections.
Promote and sell hardware alongside IT recycling services.
Handle complaints professionally, ensuring timely escalation and accurate documentation.
Share ideas, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Support corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Undertake additional tasks or projects as required by your manager.

Measures of Success

Your performance will be assessed on:

Achievement of sales and collection targets
Number and quality of customer meetings
Volume and quality of IT equipment collected
Ratio of valuable units collected
Phone activity and lead generation
Stone360 app downloads and customer usage
Additional hardware sales generated
Customer feedback via Trustpilot, app reviews, or case studies

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

Proven track record in sales with consistent achievement against targets
Experience planning and managing an effective meeting schedule
Confidence in prospecting and winning new business
Good knowledge of UK geography
A proactive, flexible, “can‑do” approach

Desired Experience

Experience within IT sales, IT asset disposal, or IT recycling
Understanding of valuable IT asset types and resale potential
Knowledge of ADISA accreditation
Experience across private, public, or education sectors
