Summary
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Painter/Decorator, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.14 - £28.28 per hour
Summary:
The Painter/Decorator role involves working on responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and capital projects while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Carry out painting and decorating works across responsive, planned, empty homes, and capital repairs to a high standard.
Plan and organise workload effectively to maximise productivity and meet appointments and targets.
Respond to urgent and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
Provide updates to supervisors and schedulers regarding job progress, delays, or issues.
Identify and report follow-on works, ensuring accurate job orders are raised.
Maintain and manage tools, materials, and stock, ensuring proper use and security.
Qualification:
Recognised C&G Apprentice trained in Painting NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience
Essentials:
Proven experience delivering high-quality painting and decorating in domestic properties.
Experience using a range of tools, including portable power tools and equipment.
Multi-skilled background (minimum NVQ Level 3 or willingness to be trained).
Strong understanding of construction health and safety practices, including asbestos awareness and working at heights.
Ability to maintain accurate written records, complete job sheets, and use PDA systems.

You should have right to work in U.K
