Summary
Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Buildings – Reading, Berkshire– Up to £45,000 + Package
CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance on a commercial contract across the Berkshire area, mainly in Reading and Basingstoke.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This position would be ideal for an Electrical Mobile Engineer currently in a similar position. In return, the company are offering a salary of up to £45,000 with a potential route into further career progression.
Package & working hours
- A basic salary of up to £45,000
- Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00
- Call out 1 in 5, £200 standby allowance
- Van & Fuel Card
- Plenty of overtime available
- Company Pension Scheme

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
- Emergency lighting tests
- Changing Ballast
- BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
- Maintain and update Log books
- Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
- Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
- Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
- Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
- Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
- Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
Requirements
- Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2&3
- City & Guilds - 18th Edition
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Client Facing
- Previous experience of performing a Building Services Engineer role
- Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality
