As a Technical Manager in our Serco Leisure team, you’ll make sure our facilities are safe, efficient, and operating at their best so our colleagues and community can rely on spaces that truly support wellbeing and positive impact. What you’ll do as a Technical Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Lead and motivate colleagues, ensuring a positive, organised, and safe working environment.
- Plan and manage workloads across reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and minor works.
- Oversee and administer the site’s computer‑aided facilities management system and performance management system.
- Manage site energy consumption through data analysis, profiling, and implementing improvement plans.
- Procure, coordinate, and oversee contractors and sub‑consultants for maintenance and capital project work.
- Support long‑term planning and budgeting, including five‑year maintenance strategies.
- Produce clear and accurate reports to support operational and strategic decision‑making.

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…
- Proven experience as a technical supervisor, building services manager, or similar facilities leader (minimum five years).
- Strong knowledge of statutory regulations, building systems, and compliance requirements.
- Hands‑on expertise across electrical and mechanical systems desirable, supported by relevant City and Guilds or equivalent qualifications.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate, plan, and support colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with CAFM systems, compliance processes, and maintenance planning.
· Qualification in electrical, mechanical or plumbing desirable
