Summary

Room Leader (Level 3 Early Years) – Up to £31,000



As Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room, guiding practitioners and ensuring children experience consistent, high-quality care and learning. You’ll spend most of your time in the room with the team, supporting practice, maintaining routines, and ensuring the environment reflects EYFS standards.

  • This role requires recent experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner.

  • Applicants must be confident supporting colleagues and maintaining EYFS practice standards.

  • This position is not suitable for candidates without a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.

  • Salary: Up to £31,000 per year

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Contract: Full-time, permanent

What You’ll Need



  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner

  • Experience working in a day nursery or early years setting

  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Confidence supporting colleagues and leading practice within a room

  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements



What You’ll Do



  • Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room

  • Support and guide practitioners to maintain consistent EYFS practice

  • Ensure care routines, activities, and observations are completed to a high standard

  • Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment for children

  • Work closely with colleagues and nursery leadership to maintain ratios and daily routines

  • Communicate with parents and carers about children’s development and wellbeing
