As a team leader, you will be expected to develop high standards of practice and skills using restorative approaches whilst ensuring whole family working.

Responsibilities will include operational management for family help teams (family help coordinators, advance practitioner social workers, social workers and family help intervention workers) including supervision, oversight of risk and decision making. You will be accountable for managing the planning, allocation and review of workloads to ensure priorities and demand is managed effectively. The Team Leaders also quality assure practice, monitor and report on timeliness of assessments and family outcomes.

About You

The post holder will have a comprehensive understanding of assessment and planning and how the early help assessment and Team Around the Family processes can be used to improve outcomes for families and prevent escalation to social work intervention. You will have good knowledge of the Families First Partnership Programme. You will be a forward-thinker, have excellent communication skills and demonstrate strong negotiation and leadership skills to ensure effective partnership working.

The successful candidate will be experienced social work qualified practitioners and be committed to integrated working with a strong understanding of Early Help. Experience of leading teams is also essential.
