Start Date: 8th June 2026Glenfrome Primary is seeking a reliable, proactive, and committed Caretaker to join our site team. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week on a split-shift basis to support the smooth and safe operation of the school site.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and well-presented environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities • Opening and securing the school site each day
• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensuring the premises and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
• Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting issues promptly
• Supporting with deliveries and movement of equipment and furniture
• Carrying out basic compliance checks (e.g., fire alarms, lighting, water checks)
• Assisting with room setup for school events and activities
• Supporting contractors working on siteThe Ideal Candidate Will: • Have practical maintenance or caretaking experience (ideally within a school or similar environment)
• Be reliable, flexible, and able to work independently
• Have good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Understand health and safety requirements in a workplace
• Be willing to undertake relevant training if required
