We are seeking an enthusiastic and empathetic Learning Support Mentor to join our Learning Support team. The successful candidate will provide one to one and small group support to student with a range of additional learning needs, including specific learning difficulties, social/emotional needs, and disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people as they prepare for higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored support to students with identified learning needs
Assist students in developing effective study skills, organisation and time management
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement and review support plans
Encourage independence, confident and resilience in students’ learning
Maintain accurate records of support and contribute to progress reviews and reports
Support the promotion of an inclusive and supportive learning environment across the College
About You
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best
Experience of working with learners who have additional needs (desirable but not essential)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, understanding and adaptable approach
