Are you an organised, creative and proactive person with an attention to detail, who enjoys interacting with people and making a genuine impact? Weston Hospicecare is looking for a Lottery Fundraiser to help grow our weekly lottery — a vital and sustainable source of income that directly supports local patients and families.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing our lottery programme, supporting our canvassers, and delivering excellent donor stewardship. You’ll join a friendly, passionate Fundraising Team who are committed to raising the funds needed to provide outstanding hospice care to the community.
Key Responsibilities
Building positive relationships with lottery players – provide a warm welcome for new lottery players and communicate with existing ones to support fundraising efforts.
Organise community venues for canvassing – Book and coordinate space in community venues and at events for canvassing activity.
Promote the lottery – Collaborate with our Communications Team to create engaging promotional materials for the Lottery.
Represent the hospice in the community – Promote the work of Weston Hospicecare through excellent donor care and positive interaction with suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fundraising or building relationships with donors/customers
- Confident using IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Experience of communicating with a wide range of audiences
- A proactive, collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
- A full driving licence or ability to travel across our catchment area is desirable.
