Summary
- To assist and support the Fire Safety Team with Training exercises in A&L blocks. - Carry out safety audits on all common parts of A&L blocks. - To assist the Clinical Teams with achieving compliance with Fire code. - To liaise with Ward / Department Managers - To manage their time and ensure patrols are carried out throughout all areas. - To investigate any trends identified from patrol. - To check Fire Alarm panels for faults and log where appropriate on the Helpdesk. - To record any recognised Fire Safety issues and forward to the Fire Safety group. - To undertake the 11pm Bleep test and record responders. - To always carry the Trusts fire bleep pager when on site and respond to fire alarm activations. - Assist with the completion of weekly fire alarm testing including checking cause and effects. - To facilitate a live 11pm once per month at the Jenner exit to ensure stage 2 response is adequate. - Act on the issue of any NHS Estates Alerts - To report incidents via the DATIX incident reporting system. - To undertake all directed training and development opportunities.
