Summary
To maintain and ensure the safe delivery of peri-operative care during the patient's stay in the theatre.Have the knowledge and skills to be able to take appropriate action in emergencies and to act as a member of the Resuscitation team.To promote a patient-focused multidisciplinary approach to care in collaboration with health care professionals, carers, and agencies.To complete patient documentation correctly, appropriately, and on time.To maintain a safe environment and work with other members of the team at the sites to produce healthcare environments that are conducive to safe, therapeutic, and ethical practice. To be responsible for developing and sustaining own knowledge, developing the role as an advanced theatre practitioner, clinical skills, and professional awareness following PREP requirements, and maintaining a professional profile.To be accountable for own practice and ensure own competence in practice deliver care based on current evidence, best practice, and, where applicable, validated research when availableTo assist in the development and implementation of nursing practice guidelines, standards, and policies. PROBATIONARY PERIOD This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months. During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed. The probationary period may be extended or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy.
