Summary
Maintain a high standard of care for all patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer, offering exceptional psychosocial support to patients and their families/carers during and after oncology treatment. Serve as an effective key worker for patients and their families, providing guidance, support, and appropriate referrals when needed. Develop and apply advanced clinical assessment skills in nurse-led clinics to independently manage patients with head and neck oncology diagnoses, ensuring their physical and psychological care needs are optimally met. Contribute to the development of nurse-led clinics, working autonomously and in collaboration with head and neck clinicians. To ensure a patients holistic needs are met in the decision-making process. Utilise advanced communication skills to maintain high-quality service and ensure timely management and resolution of unexpected events and situations.
