Summary

The post holder will be a member of the Eating Disorder Team and the Core CAMHS Team, and will be able to manage complexity and risk as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will manage a caseload of identified young people, offering appointments in a timely manner and working towards discharge where appropriate. The post holder will provide comprehensive clinical risk assessment and management for children and young people, including those presenting with selfinjurious behaviour. The post holder will implement risk management and safety plans collaboratively. They will develop care plans with young people and their families based on a thorough assessment of needs. The post holder will be part of the duty system and will undertake assessments, including Eating Disorder assessments, on behalf of the multidisciplinary team. This will involve incorporating different models of understanding the young persons difficulties and reflecting the teams multimodal approach, including Eating Disorder interventions. Routine outcome measures will be used throughout the young persons care pathway. The post holder will participate in the provision of psychoeducation and therapy to identified patients, as well as shortterm therapeutic interventions (individual, family, and group) for young people presenting with subthreshold disorders. They will also contribute to FamilyBased Treatment for Eating Disorders and other evidencebased interventions. The post holder will contribute to the clinical governance agenda of the service, including teaching, training, audit, professional development, and service development. In line with AWP Trust policy, all newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) will be recruited initially at Band 5 level, regardless of the advertised role banding. All NQSWs are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances, in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years. If you have been appointed to an advertised Band 6 role, this will be an automatic progression following confirmation of your successful ASYE completion. If you have been appointed to a Band 5 post, you will then be eligible to apply for a subsequent Band 6 vacancy upon successful ASYE completion.
