Summary
It is expected that the post holder will act in an advisory capacity at local and national level to respiratory charities such as TB alert and Asthma + Lung UK and to be an active member of organizations that promote excellence in respiratory practice such as the Royal College of Nursing, Respiratory nurses group, association of Respiratory Nurse Specialists and the European Respiratory Society Works across organisational and professional boundaries. Provide specialist education for healthcare professionals. Independent prescribers will be able to prescribe within their scope of practice. This role can be offered on a band 6 or 7 depending on experience and clinical competency. Training will be given to assist the successful candidate in achieving competencies to fulfil the band 7 role. The expectation is that this will be achieved within the first six months of the role commencing.
