An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Nottingham Breast Institute at the City Hospital for a Clerical Officer/Receptionist. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who likes to be busy and working as part of a team as well as on their own initiative, to provide Clerical/Receptionist support for the busy Breast Screening department.

Duties will be undertaken at the Nottingham Breast Institute on the City Hospital Campus and Ropewalk House in central Nottingham.

The role would require working within a team to complete all daily tasks and general duties including preparing clinics, making and changing breast screening appointments, answering the phone, reception duties and filing.

The position would also involve providing cover for the reception desk both at the Breast Institute and at Ropewalk House.

Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, in view of changing priorities is essential. Also the need to work under your own initiative is necessary.

The successful candidate needs to be computer literate, experienced in the use of electronic communications and be confident during face to face and telephone interactions with patients and visitors. They will be a point of contact for patients at the Breast Institute and Ropewalk House and act as an information resource for staff and visitors. Knowledge of hospital systems i.e. Nerve Centre, PAS and DHR is desirable, however training will be provided.
