Summary
We are seeking warm, caring and compassionate individuals to join our established team in Whalley Range, Manchester as a waking night support worker.
The role involves providing 1:1 direct support to a service user with a diagnosis of Autism and a Low level learning disability in their own flat.
No previous experience is essential but desirable and you will be provided with full training.
Waking Night Support Worker duties with this individual includes:
- A person centred approach
- Providing emotional support
- Promoting independence
- Administering medication at the designated times.
- Encouraging and supporting in activities
- Encouraging and supporting to increase/maintain cooking skills
- Encouraging and supporting with domestic duties
- Discussing/planning an activity calendar
