Job Title: Bank Teacher

Hours: Bank role – as needed

About the Role
As a Bank Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality education to our students, working in line with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will support learners through thoughtful planning, effective teaching, and a commitment to fostering their academic, social, and personal development. Working flexibly across the school, you will contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes progression, independence, and wellbeing for every student.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and teach individual students or small groups in accordance with the School’s Curriculum Framework and related policies.
Monitor, record, and report on student progress to support effective learning and development.
Contribute to and help implement school improvements aligned with the School Development Plan.
Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students in line with Company policies.
Support the design and implementation of learning environments and programmes that ensure appropriate progression for each student.
Take responsibility—as agreed with the Head Teacher—for coordinating teaching, development, assessment, recording, and reporting across subjects and key stages.
Devise, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs), and other personalised plans in collaboration with colleagues.
Organise the classroom environment, resources, student groupings, and displays to create a stimulating and appropriate learning setting.
Essential qualities and experience:
QTS or QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status / Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills)
Must have experience of delivering a diverse range of secondary national curriculum subjects to learners with SEND
A passion for inclusive, pupil-centred education
A Full UK Driving Licence

We provide a nurturing and welcoming environment to SEMH pupils, and our curriculum has a keen focus on therapy, education and personal development. We provide education to 30 pupils from the Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire areas. At our last Ofsted in December 2022, we were rated “Good”.
