Your new company

Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a supportive and welcoming mainstream primary school in Salford that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated teaching assistant for a long-term temporary contract.
This is a full-time position that will be starting on 20/04/2026.


Your new role

You will be joining a dedicated KS2 cohort, supporting the year 3 class teacher to ensure engaging and stimulating lessons. You will offer comprehensive 1:1 and small group support across the class, ensuring that all pupils reach their full academic potential. You will take a lead on interventions, identifying academic short-fall subjects/areas and independently planning targeted interventions to turn said short-falls into area’s of strength. To aid in engagement you will associate interventions/learning with pupils key interest’s which in turn will promote strong constructive relationships. This class, although engaged can sometimes become dysregulated and “lively”. To support behaviours, you will implement an array of positive behaviour strategies that pupils best respond to.


What you need to succeed

- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
- Good knowledge of the LKS2 national curriculum
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
- Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
