Summary
KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Warehouse Operative for our client based in Macclesfield.
As a Warehouse Operative your working hours and days are:
• Monday- Friday
• 06:00- 14:00/ 14:00- 22:00/ 10:00- 18:00/ 22:00- 06:00 (must be able to work all shifts rotating)
The rate of pay as a Warehouse Operative is:
• £13.00- £15.00 p/h
As a Warehouse Operative you duties and responsibilities are:
• Transport pallets safely around the wareholuse using an electric hand truck
• Stretch wrap pallets containing sheeted materils and coils to ensure safe storage and transport
• Use an electric hand banding tool to securely band pallets
• Book pallets into stock using the warehouse computer system (PC)
• Complete all required warehouse paperwork and documentation accurately
• Follow packing specifications when preparing goods for storage or dispatch
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Physically move stock between different warehouse floors using floor trucks and other warehouse equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
The ideal candidate for a Warehouse Operative would require:
• Good literacy and numeracy skills are essential due to paperwork and stock recording requirements
• Ability to use basic computer systems for stock booking and documentation
• Experience using warehouse equipment such as electric hand trucks and banding tools is desirable
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock handling and paperwork
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience
• Experience with pallet handling, stretch, wrapping and loading vehicles
• Must be able to work in a busy warehouse environment
• Be able to complete regular lifting, movement of goods, and being on your feet for extended periods
