TeacherActive is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Maths Teachers (KS3 & KS4) to support a range of secondary schools in Castle Cary and the surrounding Somerset areas.

We are working closely with local schools who are seeking Maths Teachers for flexible day-to-day supply, short-term cover and long-term placements. With schools already planning ahead for Term 5 and September, now is the perfect time to register and secure opportunities before vacancies are widely advertised.

These roles are ideal for both experienced secondary Maths teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to gain experience across a variety of school settings while maintaining flexibility.

Maths Teacher Roles Available

We are currently offering a variety of teaching opportunities including:

  These opportunities allow teachers to build experience, develop confidence and work in supportive secondary school environments.

  The Successful Maths Teacher Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to qualify

    
    

  • Have experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 level

    
    

  • Be confident in planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons

    
    

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and behaviour management skills

    
    

  • Be passionate about supporting student progress and attainment in Mathematics

    
    

  • Be adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic about working in different secondary schools
