Summary

Role: Maintenance Engineer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £41,700 + Shift Allowance

Hours: Rotating Continental Shift

Our client is a well-established manufacturing organisation with a reputation for operational excellence and innovation. They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join their East Midlands site and provide essential support for moulding machines, automation equipment, and ancillary systems.

Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

• Provide shift breakdown cover on all moulding machines, automation systems, and ancillary equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maintain reliability and uptime
• Diagnose, fault-find, and repair machinery efficiently and safely
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve common business objectives
• Contribute to training conversations alongside the Maintenance Supervisor to develop peer skills
• Deliver improvement targets, including OEE, within your area of responsibility
• Assist other engineers as required
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies
• Comply with all company rules, regulations, and procedures

Requirements - Maintenance Engineer

• Time-served engineer with an electrical bias; multi-skilled candidates preferred
• Self-motivated with a focus on improving equipment effectiveness
• Experience in injection moulding or high-volume manufacturing environments advantageous
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
• Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
• Confident communicator, able to engage across all levels of the business
