Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Monday to Friday, 06:00-14:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday, 13:00-21:00
Interviews: Week commencing
Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour (Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts are offered at enhanced rates of pay, outside of contract hours)
Note: This position complies with UK minimum wage regulations.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and professional Corporate Security Officer to join our team and deliver a high standard of customer service to staff, clients, and visitors in various settings within a Local Government Authority environment.
As part of this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our client's property, people, and assets through the provision of corporate security services. All duties must be carried out in accordance with the site's Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any subsequent updates, ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the Service Level Agreement (SLA) are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Duties
-Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legal and statutory requirements as directed by the Account Head of Security.
-Fully and diligently perform all tasks as outlined in Assignment Instructions (AIs), staying regularly updated on any amendments or changes to them.
-Suggest relevant updates to Assignment Instructions to enhance service quality.
-Hold and maintain a valid SIA Frontline Licence in Door Supervision, which must be worn at all times while on duty. The role also requires completing additional mandatory industry-related courses, including obtaining an SIA Licence in CCTV Public Space Surveillance (preferred).
-Work methodically, systematically, and in an organised manner to cover key duties such as:
-Patrols
-Front-of-house services
-Control room / CCTV operations
-Incident management
Training and Development
-Complete all required competency training to the highest standard.
-Take part in ongoing training and development programmes, as instructed by the Security Account Manager.
-Use technology effectively to achieve objectives, enhance job knowledge, and support continued professional development.
-Maintain awareness of licence renewal dates and ensure renewal up to 16 weeks before expiry.
-Security and Health & Safety
-Actively identify and report any health and safety hazards or potential risks on site.
-Remain vigilant to potential threats or disruptive situations and take appropriate action to minimise disruption or harm.
-Exercise good judgement and escalate potential threats or risks to appropriate parties.
-Demonstrate professionalism and resolve when handling challenging individuals or situations.
-Record incidents accurately and promptly in a personal notebook and complete detailed reports as part of the incident reporting processes.
-Adhere to schedules, demonstrating reliability and commitment to both the client and the employer.
-Perform regular check calls within allocated time slots, as stipulated in Assignment Instructions.
-Report all incidents promptly to emergency services and the Communication Centre, where necessary.
Qualities and Experience We Are Looking For
Prior experience in a security role is desirable but not essential.
SIA Licences:
-Essential: SIA Licence in Door Supervision
-Desirable: SIA Licence in CCTV Public Space Surveillance
Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a positive customer service experience.
Computer Literacy: Competent in basic IT skills and willing to learn site-specific platforms and systems.
Report Writing Skills: Highly skilled in writing clear, professional, and detailed reports.
