About the Company
Sunnyside Rural Trust is a registered charity and has built an innovative model of care-based support around offering training and work experience to adults with learning disabilities, within a social enterprise and horticultural setting.
Across our services we grow a range of fruit, vegetables, herbs, plants including a large number of bedding plants for Dacorum Borough Council, and perennial plants for a variety of local buyers, coppice wood, conservation projects and we have 2 farm shops. We also look after pigs, sheep goats and chickens. we are constantly growing and developing and we are currently recruiting due to internal promotions.

Hours of Work:37.5 Hours Per Week - Shift: 08:00 - 16:00
A Project Worker helps to:
• Support the team and the Manager in providing a high-quality service to people with learning disabilities.
• Organise and participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Carry out all duties as instructed in a satisfactory manner and in accordance with SRT’s philosophies.
• Take joint responsibility for organising trainee activities.
• Support service users in their personal choices and beliefs.
The role involves working outside in all seasons.

• An excellent communicator, with an open & inclusive working style and team working skills are essential.

• Willing and able to drive our minibuses and work vehicles.
• Experienced with an interest around horticulture, animal care, cooking, and crafts.
• Horticultural skills are desirable, along with the ability to work outdoors in a horticultural environment.
