Are you an organised, capable and proactive woman looking for a truly rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every single day? I am a 43-year-old teacher with a Master’s degree, working at an education centre alongside running my own business, and I am looking for the right Personal Assistant to support me both at home and out in the community.

This is a varied and meaningful position supporting me to live life fully and independently. Your role would include a blend of personal care, practical help around the home, and assistance with getting out and about. Some days you may be helping with hair washing, light housework, preparing meals from scratch (due to some allergies), or reminding me to take medication. On other days, you might be driving me to and from work in Bognor, accompanying me to appointments – occasionally in London – or supporting me to access social and leisure activities such as trips to the beach, gym, or swimming pool.

I am quite a fun and positive person, though when my pain and fatigue levels are high, I can be quieter and will need you to be patient and understanding. As my health is gradually deteriorating, I am looking for someone who understands the importance of consistency, flexibility and reliability.

When I am well enough, I enjoy being active, so it is important that you are confident in the water and able to swim. You will also help me care for my puppy, including walking him, so being comfortable with dogs is essential.

You must be a confident driver with your own car and be physically able to lift a folding manual wheelchair into your vehicle. Due to joint issues, I need to sit in the front passenger seat. I also have a Motability vehicle; to drive this, you must be over 25 and have had no at-fault insurance claims within the past five years. Support with travel to and from work in Bognor Regis will be a regular part of the role.

Flexibility is important. There may be occasions where you are asked to cover additional hours if my current PA is away, and from time to time I may require support during holidays, including potentially accompanying me away. This would always be discussed and agreed in advance.

Because I have several medical conditions, it is essential that you are calm, reliable, and able to follow clear written instructions in the event of an emergency. Full professional training will be provided, so previous experience, while welcome, is not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Due to the nature of the personal care involved, this position is open to female applicants only. As I have significant allergies, you must be a non-smoker and able to attend work and interview fragrance-free (no perfume or strongly scented products).

This is more than a job; it is an opportunity to build a supportive, respectful working relationship where your contribution genuinely enhances someone’s quality of life. In return, you will be valued, trusted, and appreciated in a role that offers variety, purpose, and the chance to be part of a busy, interesting life.

If you are dependable, kind, practical, flexible and ready to step into a role where no two days are quite the same, I would love to hear from you.
