Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician or Approved Electrician to join our expanding team working in Glasgow/Edinburgh and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. Responsibilities
Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively to minimise downtime.
Use hand tools and power tools to carry out installation and repair tasks safely and accurately.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to complete projects correctly.
Ensure all work complies with current electrical codes and safety standards.
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
Document work performed and report any faults or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Electrician or Approved Electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools including drills, saws, and testers.
Demonstrable electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Relevant qualifications recognised by industry standards (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation).
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance at all times.
