An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon with a surgical bias to join a well-established, RCVS accredited practice in the charming market town. This is a fantastic role for an experienced vet who is ready to take the next step and truly make surgery their own within a friendly, professional, and highly supportive team. About the Practice:
This respected practice boasts a loyal and long-standing client base that values the high level of personal care delivered by the team. You'll be joining a supportive environment where clinical standards and patient welfare are the priority.
Conveniently located near the town centre, the practice is fully equipped with:
• Ultrasound
• ECG
• Dental suite
• In-house laboratory
• Separate cat and dog wards and waiting areas
This role presents a rare chance to take ownership of the surgical caseload within the practice. With no other surgically biased vets in the team, all surgical cases will naturally be directed your way, giving you the freedom to build your own caseload, grow your confidence, and continue developing your surgical repertoire in a meaningful and rewarding way. It is an ideal opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys surgery and is excited by the prospect of shaping this area of the practice.
The Role:
• Full-time position (40 hours per week across 4 days)
• 1 in 3 Saturdays, or 1 in 6 full weekends at the sister 24-hour hospital
• Involvement in shaping the clinical direction of the practice
About You:
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Proven experience in delivering excellent clinical and client care
• Team player with a proactive and compassionate approach, and the ability to support and inspire your team
