Long Term Futures are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming three-form entry primary school in Northfield, supporting a Year 4 class.
This role involves supporting whole-class learning while working closely with three pupils with Autism (ASD) and behavioural needs. You will help implement behaviour strategies, support emotional regulation, and promote positive engagement within the classroom.
- Support learning within a Year 4 classroom
- Provide targeted support for pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
- Implement behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Encourage positive engagement and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, resilient and proactive approach
- Team Teach training desirable (or willingness to train)
- Friendly and inclusive three-form entry primary school environment
- Ofsted rated "Good"
- Supportive Senior Leadership Team and SENDCo
- Excellent facilities and well-resourced classrooms
- Strong focus on developing children's emotional and social skills through tailored interventions
