Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant - Redhill

Location: Redhill, UK

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in the Redhill area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD)
- Working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalised learning plans
- Creating a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment
- Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Helping students build confidence, independence, and social skills
- Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:
- A genuine interest in supporting children with special needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and take part in training

Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in an SEN or mainstream school setting
- Relevant qualifications (CACHE Level 2/3, TA Certificate, SEND training)
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, Team Teach or similar

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
