Summary
Our client is looking for temporary Warehouse Operatives for a local company based in Peterborough.
Hours are Monday to Friday 08.00-16.00pm.
This role is only temporary for one week.
Job purpose
To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer's orders.
To provide accurate and prompt packing of goods in line with
the orders. The job also includes other general duties to maintain the efficient working of the Warehouse.
Key duties and responsibilities
* This role will involve manual labour, heavy lifting and making up boxes.
* Help rework stock.
* Filling up boxes.
* Putting boxes through a machine.
* Palletising, shrink wrapping and general housekeeping.
* To report any problems or issues immediately to line manager.
* Pick and pack customer orders to achieve agreed turn-round targets and
using suitable packaging products.
* Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy, keeping gangways
clear.
* To observe and comply with high levels of Health and safety.
* To be adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
Experience Required
Qualifications include:
• Fit for active work in a Warehouse setting.
• Regular repetitive heavy lifting duties.
• Require attention to detail.
• Good standards of numeracy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understand and apply Health and Safety Regulations.
Physical requirements
This role requires working in temperatures of 4 degrees and wear gloves with warm clothing.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and/or moving some considerable distance on a daily basis on a hard surface.
-* Ability to complete repetitive tasks.
