Action Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead a well-established private setting in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a childcare leader who is passionate about maintaining high standards of early years education in a thriving professional environment.
Job Overview
Role: Nursery Manager / Head of Center
Location: Manchester (M8 Area)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (Highly negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Shifts: Alternative/Rotating shift patterns (shared with the Deputy Manager)
Sector: Private Day Nursery / Early Years Education
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
Ofsted & Compliance: Maintain full compliance with EYFS frameworks, statutory requirements, and Health & Safety regulations to achieve "Outstanding" results.
Staff Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of practitioners and room leaders, focusing on staff retention and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Deputy Manager on shift rotations, occupancy growth, and nursery development plans.
Parent Partnership: Act as the primary point of contact for families, ensuring excellent communication and high levels of parent satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualification: Minimum Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (Level 5, Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), or Degree preferred).
Experience: Proven experience in a Nursery Manager, Senior Deputy Manager, or Acting Manager role.
Safeguarding: Deep understanding of Safeguarding/Child Protection (Designated Safeguarding Lead / DSL experience is essential).
Flexibility: Willingness to work alternating shifts to ensure full management cover during all nursery opening hours.
