Summary
Engineering Supervisor - Glasgow- Facilities company - Salary Circa 45K plus excellent benefits This role offers an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineering professional to lead a team of engineers, deliver high-quality maintenance services, and ensure operational excellence across a diverse property portfolio.
You will play a key role in supervising engineers, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring a first-class service for our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide multi-skilled engineering expertise across mechanical and electrical disciplines, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services.
- Lead, motivate and supervise engineers and specialist subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH documentation to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, supporting ongoing development and knowledge sharing.
- Use CAFM systems to manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate compliance records and certifications to meet legislative and audit requirements.
- Manage Work in Progress (WIP) and ensure jobs are prepared correctly for timely invoicing.
- Act as the primary client contact, representing EQUANS professionally and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Ensure service delivery meets Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Plan workloads effectively, prioritising tasks to meet agreed deadlines.
- Implement contingency plans and respond proactively to operational challenges.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and professional development.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry health and safety standards.
- Deliver services efficiently and cost-effectively while maintaining high service standards.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support operational success.

To be considered: To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- IOSH qualification (desirable).
- Asbestos awareness certification.
- First Aid training (preferred but not essential).
- Strong IT and computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
- The ability to manage relationships with demanding stakeholders professionally.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach, capable of working independently.
- Strong team leadership and supervisory experience.
- Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic environment.
You will also demonstrate:
- Experience managing mobile engineers across a diverse portfolio of sites.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across Mechanical & Electrical systems.
- Knowledge of building fabric maintenance.
- Experience in mechanical and electrical installations.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Disclosure Scotland (Basic Level) clearance.
