Mechanical Day Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider – Banking Environment – Liverpool Street, London – £48,000 per annum
CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Day Shift Engineer to be based at a large banking site located near Liverpool Street, London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established FM service provider working within a critical banking environment.
The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G/NVQ Level 2 or above) and will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working as part of a small on-site maintenance team of two engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and general building services maintenance across the site.

Hours of Work:
4 on 4 off / 6 on 4 off / 4 on 6 off
07:00 am – 19:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor mechanical plant and equipment across the building.
- Maintenance of pumps, motors, seals, bearings and associated plant equipment.
- Air conditioning maintenance, including AHUs and FCUs (filter changes, cleaning and basic servicing).
- Water treatment monitoring, including temperature checks.
- Basic plumbing duties including unblocking toilets, replacing taps and washers.
- Monitoring the BMS system and reporting any abnormalities.
- Basic electrical duties such as lamp changes and minor electrical tasks.
- General building fabric maintenance.
- Escort specialist subcontractors when required.
- Carry out all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
- Proactively identify and report faults with building services equipment and assist in resolving issues.
- Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and escalate issues where required.
- Maintain clear communication with client staff and site management regarding service issues.
- Remain flexible regarding tasks carried out within personal competency.

Requirements:
- Mechanically qualified – Level 2 (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent) minimum
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates (essential)
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled across mechanical, electrical and general building services
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to attend the site for a 07:00 am start
