Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our great team at our amazing school to provide maternity cover for the academic year 2026/27. We are seeking a motivated and inspirational teacher to teach across the key stage 2/3 age range (years 5, 6 &7) from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, have qualified teacher status and proven teaching experience at either KS2 or 3, together with high expectations for children’s attainment and progress, good ICT skills, and an ability to build effective working relationships. Exact subject specialisms can be negotiated, but our teachers will have expertise in either maths or English alongside other subject specialisms or interests. We are keen to hear from candidates with a passion for: science, humanities or computing at KS2 or 3.

Witton is organised in a similar way to secondary or High school – with children moving between different teaching areas and working with a variety of teachers and adults across the school. We welcome applications from colleagues with experience of any educational setting and phase.
