Summary
A great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to support a growing Multi Academy Trust during a key period. You'll work closely with the CFO, leading on management accounts, treasury activity, financial controls and audit preparation across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly consolidated management accounts and cashflow forecasts
- Monitor financial performance, investigate variances and ensure data accuracy
- Manage treasury activity, monitor balances and maximise investment income
- Support procurement and contract monitoring to ensure value for money
- Lead month‑end and year‑end processes including accruals, prepayments and key journals
- Coordinate audit information and submit VAT returns
- Ensure compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook and financial regulations
About You
- Qualified/part‑qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA/ACCA) or AAT Level 4
- Strong experience in management accounts and financial reporting
- Confident with journals, reconciliations and variance analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to explain finance to non‑finance staff
- Experience in multi‑site or public sector environments is desirable
