Summary

Hays Education is working closely with a welcoming primary school in the WV2 area of Wolverhampton, who are seeking a confident and creative Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children within their busy and nurturing 2's Room. This role offers the chance to be part of an early year setting where curiosity, exploration and early development truly come first. You will work alongside experienced EYFS practitioners to create a warm, engaging environment where every child can learn through play. This is a hands on role that requires energy, a positive attitude, and a genuine understanding of early childhood development.


As part of the team, you will:

  • Support daily routines and care needs for a group of 2 year olds
  • Set up and deliver stimulating early‑years activities
  • Encourage early communication, social development and independence
  • Offer reassurance, encouragement and consistency
  • Observe children's progress and contribute to early assessments
  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a safe, welcoming classroom

What we're looking for

You will be a strong fit for this role if you:

  • Hold a Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
  • Have experience working in an EYFS environment, preferably with 2-3 year‑olds
  • Bring creativity to activity planning and learning through play
  • Communicate clearly with children, parents and staff
  • Are patient, nurturing and confident, supporting young children.
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive early‑years team
