Support Worker - Mental Health (PICU, Acute, Rehab or Forensic background)
Brighton, East Sussex | Full-time/Part-time available | £13 per hour
Are you a compassionate and resilient support worker with experience in PICU, acute, rehab, or forensic settings? We're looking for dedicated team players to join our busy mental health hospital in Brighton, where every day you'll make a real difference to people's lives.
What you'll do

Provide person-centred care and practical support to patients with complex mental health needs

Assist with daily living activities, observe and report changes in behaviour or condition

Support therapeutic activities, group sessions, and treatment plans

Promote safety, de-escalation, and therapeutic environments
-
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to plan and review care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with policy and GDPR
What we're looking for

Experience in PICU, acute, rehab, or forensic mental health settings

Patient-centred approach with excellent communication and empathy

Ability to work shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging scenarios

Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
