37 hours per week, term time, working 38 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities.
- Work with individuals and small groups of pupils to support learning, reinforce lessons and help pupils achieve their potential.
- Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning, social or emotional needs.
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Encourage pupils’ independence, confidence and engagement in their learning.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress to the class teacher.
- Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, lunchtimes or educational activities as required.
- Promote safeguarding and always ensure the wellbeing and safety of all pupils.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively with colleagues.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be flexible, proactive and open to new ideas.
- Work effectively as part of a supportive team.
- Fully supports the ethos and aims of the school and Trust.
- Respond appropriately and calmly to challenging situations.
- Have experience working with children of a relevant age in a learning environment.
- Have experience supporting pupils with additional social and emotional needs.
- Be committed to supporting pupils’ learning while continuing to develop professionally.
