Role:
Leeds East Academy is driven by an ambitious vision in which every learner thrives, every voice matters, and every young person is inspired to aim higher. As Curriculum Leader of Geography, you will play a pivotal role in realising that vision—championing a subject that empowers students to understand, question, and influence the world around them.
In this key leadership position, you will ignite a passion for Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, designing and delivering a curriculum that is rich, challenging, and intellectually stretching. You will lead with purpose and ambition, ensuring the very highest standards in teaching, learning, assessment, and student progress.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward thinking practitioner who brings deep subject expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a relentless drive for excellence. You will model inspirational classroom practice, develop colleagues with care and clarity, and ensure that Geography remains a vibrant, high performing subject area within our academy.
If you are motivated by the belief that all students deserve outstanding learning experiences—and if you’re ready to lead a team committed to transforming outcomes—then we would love to hear from you.
Part of White Rose Academies Trust - Leeds East Academy is accelerating on a thrilling journey, which will ultimately see the school, its staff and its students, secure continued strides for the school and the community that it serves.
We are securing our vision for World Class by growing our family of exceptional education professionals; dedicated specialists and passionate leaders with the shared goal of transforming future prospects for the next generation in West Yorkshire.
The trust currently employs over 500 members of staff and is responsible for educating and developing almost 4,000 students between the ages of 3 to 16. The trust consists of three secondary schools - Leeds City Academy, Leeds East Academy and Leeds West Academy, and also welcomed its first primary school Alder Tree Primary Academy on 1st December 2020.
