Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Digital and Quality Midwife to join our busy Quality and Safety Teamteam. You will support this team at RLH to effectivelyprogress the national digital agendas whilst driving digitaltransformation and data quality to ensure appropriate MSDS submissions.
As part of the Maternity Team, you will co-ordinate and provide information technology support and training. Have an overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of data within the service and work closely with the staff to ensure that they are supported with theinputting of correct information electronically. You will be responsible for the preparation of the maternity dashboard and would also incorporate producing monthly key performance indicator reports for dissemination, discussion, and data quality assurance.

This post is aimed at a registered midwife with data management and informatics skills, to assistwiththematernitydigitaltransformationprogrammeattheRoyalLondonHospitalwhich will support health and care services to improve the outcomes for pregnant women and addresshealthinequalities.AsanambassadoroftheMidwiferyprofession,willensureclinical practice, supported by digital technology, meets professional standards.
This post has been created following the drive within the national maternity transformation programme for digital midwives to continue providing leadership, coordination, facilitation, evaluation, and improvement across local digital maternity work streams.
The role will support the design and implementation of national digital programmes, oversee the tracking of progress against digital transformation plans and develop a networkedapproachtoenabledigitaltransformation.TheywillalsoplayapartinsupportingNHSEnglandto achieve its five digital missions, which include reducing the burden on staff, giving people the tools, they need to access information, ensuring safety and improving productivity.
Thepostholderwillactasanautonomous,accountablepractitionerworkingwithintheexisting digitalteamandin collaborationwiththe widermulti-disciplinary team.They willbevisibleto staff and available to provide informatics support to midwives in their day-to-day settings.
