As a Floating Support Worker with Dimensions, you'll support adults with learning disabilities and autism across several locations, helping them live independently and achieve positive outcomes in their daily lives.

What the role involves
Floating Support Workers step in where they're most needed, working across different homes depending on operational needs. Your day might include:
- Building positive, trusting relationships.
- Supporting people with the activities they enjoy at home and out in the community.
- Helping people develop independence and daily living skills.
- Assisting with meal preparation, personal care and medication.
- Helping people manage and maintain their homes.
You'll be guided by each person's support plan so they can live the life they choose.
Contract, hours & travel
- Contracts available at 30 or 37.5 hours.
- Fully flexible schedule required.
- Shifts include weekends and bank holidays.
- You must be willing to travel up to around one hour from your home to different locations.
- Mileage reimbursement provided or Oyster card benefit available.
Training & development
You do not need previous experience. We provide full, paid training, including:
- Manual handling and hoist use
- Epilepsy awareness
- Medication administration
- All mandatory and specialist training
- Opportunities to gain diplomas and continued professional development
Some people we support do not use words to communicate, and some use wheelchairs. All training you need for this will be provided.

Shift patterns
Typical shifts include:
- 7:00-14:00
- 14:00-22:00
(Some homes may offer different hours. Sleep-ins may be required.)
