The Role
A supportive and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant is required to join the school from April 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
- Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support pupils during classroom lessons, break times, and school activities where required.
- Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children's development.
- Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
- Hold a relevant TA qualification or have equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
- Be reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference in the classroom.
